Christian Fellowship Committee |
Coordinate Events and Activities Among Membership. Importantly, it helps believers bond together as Christ’s family and draws new members into the fold by making them feel welcome in settings outside traditional worship.
The committee plans annual events such as an “old-fashioned” church picnic and caroling at area nursing homes and to shut-ins, followed by a family meal. Throughout the calendar year, it also organizes post-worship pot luck luncheons, breakfasts on Easter Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, a holiday craft bazaar, progressive dinners, and other special events. Fundraisers such as spring and fall yard sales reach out to the community and raise funds for mission projects.
A new and rapidly growing Christian Fellowship Committee project is our outreach to Special Needs adults in the community through events such as dances, picnics, and Octoberfests.
Included at Wesley Grove is our United Methodist Men, United Methodist Women(2 groups - daytime and evening), United Methodist Youth, and Free Spirits Adult Fellowship.
