This committee's main purpose is to fill and evaluate the positions of pastor, secretary, and any other paid staff of the church. This would include the interviewing and hiring (and firing, if needed) of all paid staff members based upon input from the church congregation.

It is responsible for general oversight of the church's primary mission as well as for the administration of the church's activities and programs. Another duty of the Staff Parish Relations Committee is to act as a point of contact between the pastor and the congregation. While communication between members of the church and the pastor can occur (and is encouraged) at any time, the SPRC acts as an 'official' conduit for the expression of concerns and suggestions, as well as a means of support for the pastors in the fulfillment of their missions at Wesley Grove.
